In the early-22nd century, Michael Jacobson is a man who has lost all hope. Afraid to go on living, but even more afraid to die, Michael grapples with an unthinkable choice.

In search of a certain Woodworker, one who lived long ago, before there were clocks or machines before the forests were destroyed and the sea levels rose, back to a time when people still looked to the future with expectancy.
